The theme of “reduction to the essentials” runs through my life and also my artistic work. In this painting, which shows the fields of my home environment, I have deliberately opted for a more expressionistic interpretation. As a supporting component for the reduction, I painted the picture exclusively with a palette knife and chose a rustic jute canvas as the picture support, which shines through here and there and flows into the picture design.
