Both painting and music have been part of our lives since childhood, but it was a life-changing event in 2009 that became the catalyst for our intensive artistic development. After successful careers in the IT industry, we decided to give more space to our true passion – the visual arts.
Our Artistic Approach
In our works, we combine technical precision with artistic freedom. We primarily work with oil on canvas, but also experiment with other media such as pastel and gouache on paper. Our focus spans figurative painting, still life, and landscape painting.
Tanja‘s work is characterized by a unique style that combines photorealistic precision with subtle surreal elements. Her work creates fascinating tensions through deliberately chosen “false colors” and surprising combinations of motifs. Her current focus is on animal portraits with which she opens up new artistic perspectives. Her works have already been collected internationally, including through the renowned platform Saatchi Art.
Thomas‘s artistic journey has led from photographic realism to contemporary impressionistic landscape painting. In his current works, he interprets the tradition of landscape painting in an individual way and translates it into a modern visual language. His background as an active musician and his deep engagement with Scandinavian jazz influence his style significantly. Most of his landscape paintings is created under the direct influence of this music, translating the atmospheric density of Nordic jazz into visual moods.
Artistic Recognition
Tanja has been an active member of the Oberhessischer Künstlerbund since 2010, a prestigious institution with an 80-year history. Her acceptance into this selective circle of artists underscores the quality of her work. In addition to regular group exhibitions, she was also selected for a major solo exhibition – a special recognition of her artistic achievement.
